Fish all Around!!

There I was fishing the outgoing in my UDL in Weymouth. Fish were breaking all around me BUT WOULDNT TOUCH A FREAKING THING I THREW AT THEM!!!

I threw top water. I threw storm wild eyes. I threw the newer rubber shads by tsunami. I varied the retreive. I varied the speed. ARGH!

It was pitch black out tonight and I couldnt see anything. Is it possible that the fish busting around weren't bass and maybe bigger than normal herring or macs???

I am SO not sleeping tonight...:rotflmao:

I was also in Weymouth via boat last night around 9pm and marking a lot of fish, but couldn't get a bite on anything. Frustrating, but had gf and dog on board, so called it a night and headed in.

They looked to be good size fish, I tried a sabiki just in case they were macks and no luck.

This has been the story of my life for 2 weeks now. Still haven't even felt a bump.

There are a lot of adult menhaden around. 2lb+. The flip on the surface and porpose without being chased. Bring a snag hook with you. Cast it through them. Use what you get for bait.

sounds like Archie is in town.

experienced the same thing the other night, fish splashing for well over an hour, some very large splashes and frustatingly close...maybe try a dead drift, I didn't hook up till I fished a small topwater extremely slow...even when they hit (3 fish over 2 hours with all of that splashing)..it was a very light take and missed 2 of the 3...was lucky to land and release one right around 40" when I was about ready to hang it up or I was going home with my head spinning trying to figure it out...good luck....

Maybe a streamer as a dropper? I was fishing Wollaston beach with some breaking fish and saw a small pod of small bait-maybe an inch or so long.

Thought # 1...If you were in the area of Grape & Slate then you might ha ve run into a "Worm Hatch". Although much more famous in place like RI, Waquoit and Bass River, there are over 300 species of "cinder worm" and there are many "hatches" that will shut down the fishing or make it EXTREMELY difficult.

Thought #2...The weather front that came through Friday night/saturday may have messed up the feeding pattern...my productivity dropped hard in the last two days and th fish were still all around me!!!!

Nice! Let us know how it goes...It was just too funny. It was on the outgoing at a point where the waterway really narrowsm so I am thinking it was a bunch of schoolies ambushing the hatch and gorging themselves on worms.
