Predator Boots

Anyone have a the new korkers predator wading boots? I am sick and tired of the bulky heavy cleats. Thinking about picking up a pair since they come with screw in spikes and might be a better choice over the streamborn with the interchangeable soles. The only problem might be is that wire lace they have and concern of the spikes breaking out of the bottom. What you guys think?

I have 1/4 sheet metal screws lagged into my boots. Don't need to expensive stuff. if they get rounded, screw in new ones.

I have size 13 shoes , those lugs on the bottom of the sole take the screws just fine.

I will have these on for the next 4 days hiking and fishing in on the Rapid river in Maine

you can get nearly the same boots from Cabelas with studded felt soles for the same price, and you don't need to either modify them or wear korkers. They stick like velcro.

Once the carbide studs eventually fall out (only one fell out so far) you still have felt soled boots which are fine for 99% of the places I fish.
