Piscataqua River
 
Herring and Stripers are showing up in the Piscataqua . Herring are seen breaking water in the River and in the Coves. Good fishing is here!:D

Hey Dad Fisherman, that is one sweet area to work. Portsmouth is one of my favorite towns anywhere. Great restaurants, great local beer, tons of history, super atmosphere.Good for you!

That's a BIG river with plenty of good fishing. My buddy used to own a condo in Kittery and keep his boat on that side of the river. Man we had some good times in Portsmouth. :gu:

Good luck with the new job. I'm a three shipyarder. I started at the Boston Naval Shipyard, Worked at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and retired from Mare Island Naval Shipyard when it closed. All in all it's a good place to work. Sometimes you have to put up with a little BS but I guess you see that anywhere. Always interesting work. At least it was for me.

There's a blast from the Past....I was stationed there in '82-'83 for my training when I enlisted...Loved it out there....actually CSTSC Mare Island
