I need a place to take a 12 year old

To fish, and be able to catch something, for some reason he thinks or was told I am the best fisherman in the world :sleeps:

Anyways My sons girlfriends kids are here for the summer from Brazil and he really wants me to take him fishing

Blues or stripers it don't mater he just wants to catch

is it to early to fish Gooseberry island for blue fish?

Go fresh for consistency.

Bob,
My Son is 14 & I take him to the Canal to fish I've brought him 3 times and his stats are 2 oughta 3 he likes to plug.
I don't know what kind of fishing you want to do with him but there are a ton of points of intrest down by the Canal.

I would like to bring him there but it would be a learning thing for me to I have only been there twice and sprained my ankle once. I want to throw tins, poppers, and Needles

Bob,
There ain't much happenin' at Gooseberry right now. Fish are very, very scarce. Even the scuppers off the causeway haven't been doin much. Not worth it. Better bet would be to wait about 2 weeks and take em down to any of the rock jetties in Falmouth facing the Vineyard, like Falmouth harbor and catch scup. Consistent and fun, and easy.
