USB Driver issues
Looking for any insight folks can offer.
If you partion a hard drive can you have different OS on each partion? The reason I ask is I bought a boat last fall that has a Garmin discontinued model GPS/Fish finder (GPSMAP 232). So I buy the Bluechart maps to have on the lpatop, as well as a data card and loader so I can pass info back and forth from my laptop to the unit. Turns out Garmin does not have drivers that are compatable with my laptops OS (stupid Vista 64) and are not planning on developing them. Trying to figure out a way to make this work without having to revert to XP at this point or aquire a beater laptop just to house the GPS software. Thanks. |

YES, absolutely. If there is a question somewhere in the bottom paragraph, I'm not sure what it is, but you can certainly load multiple Operating Systems on a partitioned drive....upon boot-up, you will see the OS choices, arrow to the one you want, and hit "Enter"...........presto-magic! |
Thanks.
