A lot of bird species have the ability to mimic the sounds they hear. It's somewhat amazing to me that no bird of prey has evolved to do this. Imagine a bird that could mimic mating calls of it's prey as a means to lure in its next meal like human hunters do when calling turkeys in to shotgun range.

Our parrot can mimic all kinds of sounds that she hears often.
