Fluke the how too's??

Ok guys i do 90% of my fishing on the north shore for stripers but every year i go western long island sound 1-3 times later in the summer, last year i managed a couple of fluke....quit honestly on accident though.. this year i would like to target them a it more. last year i got the ones on a 4"gulp swim shad with a jig head hook. so question is whats the best go to set up for fuke? bait? jigs ? little of both?? from what i understand you want to be in or on the edge of structure...right?? kinda lost in what to do or where to start! lol

Lead head jigs work, smilling bills, spros, etc. Any bucktail type of jig will work, will work much better with a strip of squid and/or a small fish on the hook. Bait also works. Three way rig, sinker on bottom and about a 3 foot leader to a 2/0 or 3/0 hook with a squid strip and a small fish. Drift around the edges of stricture preferably over hard bottom.

thanks! i guess i should get some smaller bucktails...most mine all have 6/0-8/0 hooks on them, i have most the oter stuff...
i should be heading down that way soon....
