penn sargus 8000

Just picked one up for a good price. Spooled with 400 yds 50pound power pro. Anyone have one, use one. Like them???? Any input would help. I plan to use it for stripers and mabe some football tuna if i can find them.

I have a 5000 loaded with Power Pro. I love it. It has worked flawlessly paired with a 8' Tica and the price was right(thanks to MikeCC for that). No complaints whatsoever. But it is mainly for the boat and does not get dunked. I picked up the smaller 4000 for a lite setup and seem to have worn it out in one season. Bent shaft or warn gears? Not sure. Not near as smooth as it started. Doesn't seem to have the guts of the larger models.

Ya i like the feeling of the 8000. I like how it feels durable and has all the same parts, almost as the penn850s. ALSO thaning mikecc BECAUSE I PICKED MINE UP DOWN THERE TO.
