Anyone have the date, time, and place of the 2009 Striperfest???? Trying to confirm a fall trip.

Sat Oct 4 in Buzzards Bay MA. Any thoughts on the impact to the trip?

October 4th is a Sunday

I'm guessing that it'll be in the town park next to the RR bridge on the mainland side--same place that they have the Scallop Festival every September.

Plenty of free parking around town, too.

SON OF A-----!!!! I run the Army 10 miler every year down in DC with a bunch of the guys I served with. This will be the second year in a row I'll have to miss the Striperfest because the race is in the first week of October too. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the Striperfest in the first week of November as the stripers run THROUGH October?!?!? :bs:

Not when a tournament ends in the middle of September. Plus, it's going to be in a tent outdoors, and it can get mighty cold in downtown Boozards Bay in November.

I can tell you that it will be held in a tent outdoors because there isn't a building in Buzzards Bay big enough to hold that many people ;)

Ooopsie. Let's make that the 3rd.

Of course that's true...If it were bumped to November they could run the contest through October. Just a thought. Me not being there just increases your chance of winning the boat!:bgi:
