I just showed the S-B home page to my wife and
she thought the pic of Vic and Mike holding their
big cows worthy of publication in some fishing
magazine. She is a former magazine editor and
knows something of worth for a cover. I happen
to agree and believe that pix should appear on
cover of OTW with of course appropriate compen-
sation to Tynan for taking it. What think youse??

Seriously, Tynan you should shoot a copy
over to OTW or SWS or NE Fisherman. Hell
the fish, the early dawn and the expressions
on the faces are worth a cover.

But as a former professional photographer, I'd tell Tynan to read OTW's clause on subsequent reproduction rights really carefully in regards to submissions

Sounds like you're already aware of the importance of obtaining releases for published images

Last I heard an OTW cover was $100. I think a SWS is $800. When I contributed, they had First American Serial Rights to stories, which means they have an exclusive to publish the work first, then after that the rights revert back to the author.
Before you sell your best work make sure you try and get the most you can by trying the best paying venues first.
