keeping sea worms alive

Can anyone tell me how to build a "worm box" for keeping sea worms alive at the dock?

buddy of mind does this with just mud and seaweed with a locked wooden box i believe. stinks like you wouldn't believe.

Are there any holes in the box? Does he keep it in the water?

MrHunters 07-08-2009 05:20 PM

keeps it on his mooring... no holes i think... worms and mud would escape

We used to keep them in a "killie car" type of box. Solid wood top and sides and fiberglass screening on the bottom. Just put the worms in with a load of sea weed.

Buddy of mine uses a 2 1/2 gallon bucket with a lid. He bought it at Home Depot.
He drilled a bunch of small holes to allow water in but they're small enough to keep the worms in.
Finally, he keeps a brick in it to sink it.
Works great.
