Grey Seals Eat 2.5 Tons of Fish -- A Year!
This report indicates that the Scottish Grey Seals are each eating between two and two and a half tons of fish a year:

after reading that article
and all the posts following it....
one guy suggested that that we need to return to the days of Long lining instead of dragging.... but even whales have learned to expertly pluck fish from long lines .... but that's off topic -- it's pretty hard for conservationists to argue against controlling the population of seals when a fisherman cannot even catch a fish without a seal intercepting it. :hs: |
