Yesterday, my 175 merc wouldnt start after pulling my lobster pots... I called the SafeSea from the card and they wanted $500 to tow me less than a mile. I then decided I'd try other options...within an hour, I flagged down a guy from the base who started to tow me in, while I broke out the fluke volt meter (again) and started re-tracing the problem.... 5 min into the tow, I discovered the ground connection on the battery was loose... This was after an hour of checking the starter and all the wires there... b4 I flagged the guy down... Fixed the wire,, it started right up,,, and yelled to the guy towing me... he unhooked me and I offered up the 3 lobsters I caught for stopping to help me.. they turned em down... I then preceded to get skunked fishing for the rest of the day.....

Also, some retard stole the little (broken) johnson kicker motor from the boat, while it was in the chain-link fenced and locked storage area on the base...... It is lil '87 Johnson I will post the numbers when I find the registration on it.... Hard to believe that it was stolen on base in a locked storage area.... There was a camp trailer next to my boat, who pulled it out Thurs or Fri,, about the same time the motor disappeared...

I'll keep an eye out for anyone trading in motors in the coming weeks
