he might be cut some slack
poor guy....

The confirmation slip would be directly linked to the ticket number, so that the ticket couldn't be cashed twice.
Hopefully they will catch the "sticky fingered" perp, since the confirmation printout and store video tape will have the time and date of his initial visit.
Who knows what will happen.

If I won $1000, the ticket would be in my front pocket and my hand would be on it while I walked.

$500,000 and I'm hiring a security detail. Poor guy but it is his own fault.

Lesson learned. Keep important things in a safer place than your back pocket.
