I'm impressed by the kayakers' response to the shark attack:
Quote:

The two men followed a prearranged plan in case of a shark siting, rafting their kayaks together to appear larger, Bean said. After the seal and shark disappeared the two men paddled away from the bloody water and continued on their trip.
Also, that article says this is the first sighting of such an attack this year, but I heard a rumor that a "Seal Watch" boat full of tourists witnessed a seal being taken by a Great White earlier this season. Anyone else hear the same?

I also just heard a report of a tuna fisherman witnessing a seal taken in just the last couple weeks.

Skomal said. “A dead seal carcass would help us definitively.”

Anyone who finds a seal carcass should report it to the International Fund for Animal Welfare's Cape Cod Stranding Network
Isn't it too late for the "International Fund for Animal Welfare's Cape Cod Stranding Network" to do anything at that point? Isn't "stranding" the least of Mr Seal's problems at that point?

oh man, this is just the thought I need in my head when I'm out on the kayak!
