Tuna Gear?

I was wondering if you guy think a penn Senotor 9/0 Will be good enough to troll for some small tuna? I was thinking of heading out this weekend to coxes, or the claw. I have never boated a tuna and am looking to hook up to some 50-100 pound fish. My dad gave me tons of tackel, spreadr bars, birds, daisy chains, jigs, crimps crimpers, hooks, kites, ballons, Ect...... I can not get the Rod and reels that i was told i could use ( two internatiol 50s} so i am stuck with 2 Sentor 9/0s. What # line shoud i put on them is the are even capable of tuna

thanks

they will get the job done, though a drag upgrade wouldn't hurt. i've taken small fish (70#) on 6/0 senator. most of the fish i've seen this year are a little bigger than 50-100lbs. sounds like you scored some goodies from your dad. good luck and have fun

Spool em up with 80# mono. You'll be fine. I've used them for tuna with no problems. We still use them for sharks. Good Luck
