Capt Tom King, one of the nicest guys around !!!
Taylor Sears on the rod, son of Greg Sears (Fortuna) Ma.BayGuides
Lately on my boat with every tuna we have been bleeding out and swimming behind the boat , and we are thinking eventually a shark is going to come into our slick and have an easy meal !

MrHunters 08-28-2009 05:42 PM

you wouldnt know it by the boston.com comments... rough.

i wish i caught 1 million sharks by the age of 20 :)

niko 08-28-2009 06:20 PM

congrats to him. fire up the grill - that's alot of meat. there's a pix around of what's left of the tuna, looks like someone took a chainsaw to it

[QUOTE=MrHunters;708139]you wouldnt know it by the boston.com comments... rough.

I think I like this one best
"Save sharks, hunt liberals" :rotf2:

Could also be
"Save sharks, hunt tree huggers"

The Iceman 6 08-28-2009 06:54 PM

Big fishie right there. Good for the kid who did say every part of the fish will be used.

JohnR 08-28-2009 06:57 PM

Didn't know to laugh or cry :wall::rotf2:

Great to hear it was Tom King - he's a real gentleman and keeper of the sport.

fishsmith 08-28-2009 07:09 PM

Damn would the Old man of the sea be proud :buds: . that's very cool catching the fish that was eating your tuna.

Good for them, and F*** the nay sayers.

MrHunters 08-28-2009 07:17 PM

i love the sanctuary comments. as if he's doing something illegal. dummies

If it eats seals in the cape we should have let it swim.I would have also enjoyed a 2-3lb steak.Nice catch!

kenyee 08-28-2009 08:31 PM

I thought only great whites ate seals?

The Sears family seem to be gifted lately. Greg won a boat last year tuna fishing and this year his son is famous for helping haul in the biggest shark...awesome :-)

keeperreaper 08-29-2009 03:59 AM

That family can fish. That is one hell of an accomplishment to land that beast. Makos are one mean nasty creature. Congrats to Tom and Taylor. Supposedly there is an even bigger one out there roaming a little further north than where he was landed.

Raven 08-29-2009 04:16 AM

that kid is a man

Plum Crazy 08-29-2009 05:31 AM

Wow what a catch! Congrats!
I think all the whackos come out of the woodwork to make those stupid comments. I hope it doesn't put a damper on his joy.
He broke a record, just like in every other sport. Good for him!
