Saw a bunch of albies jumping at Gay Head the other day!! Did not get any?

Thanks Eddie. I hope it came out good, I haven't seen it yet. They had a lot of footage to work with so I'm very curious to see what they included. Nantucket's such a wild & beautiful place once you get out of town...

The false albacore fishing down there has been really good the past few years. I go down for a week each fall to help my parents close their B&B, so those guys popped down for 1 day and we got very lucky and had great weather and a great morning the day they filmed.

For the record, I've never seen blues, albies, spanish mack's and bonita all caught on the same day before. I don't want you guys thinking that's the norm. We fished hard every day that week in all kinds of weather, and we had albies on about 1/2 the trips.

Look forward to seeing it...

Teasers, teasers, teasers

Swimmer 08-30-2009 06:13 PM

Yes John, teasers are a must.

It was a great show.

Saltheart 08-30-2009 07:00 PM

How long are the teasers you use. Any pictures? The one shown under my name is about 4 inches.

Mike, a little smaller - 2-3 inches. Works killer.

Saltheart 08-30-2009 07:32 PM

To shorten it I can just cut the peacock herl off the top ! :)

I'm surprised at the comment about won't be long now. They should be around by now , maybe after the water clears from the storms.

I really want to catch one of those funny fish this year. Never really fished for them but this year I can call targetting them a priority.

They are truly a lot of fun - if you get the chance - take it.

good show. They were using pretty big deadly #^&#^&#^&#^&s, I was surprised ones that long, but they were catching so they knew what they were doing.
