Moment of Silence
 

We'll have a moment of silence this morning at 8:46 am, the time the first plane crashed into the WTC and 10:28 am when the last tower collapsed.

Just walked by WTC on the way into work, bowed by head and said a prayer.

Pretty sad, home sick and got the tv on, didn't see one mention on the news.

NEVER FORGET the innocents killed and their families suffering
because of a cowardly act by those who want to see our
way of life and beliefs detroyed.

Before I left the house it was on all three of the major stations.... must have been bad timing RR..

We will NEVER FORGET.....God bless all those who lost their lives and loved ones in this horrific act of cowardice...

And don't forget our service men/women abroad,,,

They had shows on the History channel amd MSNBC (I think) on Friday evening one was a documentary style broadcast on History channel, and a rebroadcast of the original broadcast as it happened on the other. I will always bring me back down to earth seeing all those faces of the police and firefighters that were lost that day.

Just like Pearl Harbor, we must NEVER forget what happened, so that our children,and their children will realize the evil that exist in our world.

They had a story on after the "102 Minutes That Changed The World" on the History called "The Man Who Predicted 9/11". It was impressive that this man was able to save so many lives just by preparation for disaster. Keep in mind that he wasn't pulling a Nostredamus type prediction, just seeing things from a security standpoint (from his military experience) and utilizing that skill in his job as head of security at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
Keep in mind that he died when he went back into the tower to try to help others escape after his company staff had gotten out.

Rick Rescorla if memory serves me right. He was also one of the key guys keeping the soldiers alive in the battle of the 7th Cavalry at Ia Drang. That battle was the events in the movie "We were soldiers once, and young".

At the WTC, he kept moving people of out their offices and saved most of them.

Certainly a man among men.
