Seal Picture from Saltfly taken in Pleasant Bay

Seems like he was taken, the same way, seals take fish at times..
one big bite, and gulp, let them swim off to die..

this pic came to me via Mike 2na.... i resized it from the original, but you can still tell it was a nice bite from something with big teeth...

Nice Shot Bob :D

From what Bob's email told me, this was in the same area a long time shellfishermen saw a seal attack..... so, I would say that the sharks are further up into Pleasant bay than originally thought...

update on the CCTimes website says the fly overs are reporting no more GW sightings....

but...they were looking from the cut....south.....
so...who knows??

I pray for more shark attacks on the seals every night.
The white sharks are still around trust me.

NO WAY a shark made that bite!

That's the work of a piping plover for sure! ;)

The seal was still alive when I took the photos. It was just drifting in the current on the incoming tide. This was in the channel between Strong Island and the mainland. This is located N/W of the new break in Nauset beach.

If they started swimming north from Chatham, why would they stop? I mean, they won't see the concentrations of seals like they get at Monomoy, but its not like they're going to get to an area where there aren't any seals...they can follow the seal smell all the way up with Outer Beaches.
