Our troop did a fundraiser awhile back selling American Flags. We still have about a dozen left and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in one. (I'm trying to clean our Closet out :hee:)

they are 3x5 Nylon Flags $27 plus Shipping or if local I can meet up with you......... and all money goes to the troop.

Feel Free to PM me if interested.

Nebe, Spence, PaulS and JohnnyD can use them for the fireplace this winter, probably burn cleaner than wood.

I'm pretty sure nobody on this board burns flags...unless they are old and they follow a proper retirement ceremony.

Speaking of which I saw an awesome one at scout camp last year. The Staff there retired a flag at the campfire. They built 3 seperate fires and while they cut the stripes out 1 at a time their was another scout playing Amazing Grace and America the Beautiful on the Violin......pretty inpressive.

They then placed the Red in one fire, the White in another and the Blue in the last one....followed by a moment of silence for the troops
