Under the knife
One more day of work tomorrow , then in for a procedure on my shoulder on tuesday. They are taking 3/4" off of my clavicle, shaving down the bone spurs, and debreading the tissue. Should be out of work 3-9 weeks according to the doctor. No bow hunting for me, but hopefully will recover enough for shotgun, and muzzleloading season. I am glad I am finally getting this done as my shoulder has been going down hill for the past 5 or 6 years. Last couple of months it has gotten really bad, and the pain has been bringing me to tears at times.

Good luck Bill - easy on the nurses...

Best of luck to you. Hopefully it's your non-dominant arm. 3-9 weeks is a large window - hope it's closer to 3.
Bill, hope all goes well and you have a good recovery.
Bill, ditto on all the above. Hope you heal fast.
They will probably be able to give you a more definitive timeframe after the procedure. The initial timeframe is usually a round figure timeframe given before they have actually gone in and done the work. Hopefully you will fall in the low end of the recovery time frame.
Best of luck Bill, be happy it is only 3 to 9 weeks
I was out 3 1/2 months with my thumb |

Thanks guys, the operation went well. There were no suprises in there. They gave me pics, not that I know what I am looking at. The pain block on my arm was trippy, it was like my arm was dead. The meds are working good to.
Great news!
Always stay ahead of the pain, take your meds before you need them
