Duplicator Dannys
1 Attachment(s)
Dannys hot off the duplicator and tested among the ice flows... The white one is 3 oz, intended for my new Batson 1088, the black one 2 oz intended for my Batson 1087. The red throat on the black one doesn't show up. To quote a hot fisher guy from Yarmouth, they swim "the balls". Sorry for the image quality. Cheap camera! It was free.
How many more weeks untill striper season? |
nice looking plugs u got there, isn't the dupy thingie " THE BALLS"
I'm runnin out of wood. |
Darned if that isn't my problem as well. Then you have to paint, weight and rig all those damned plugs. next you'll have trouble getting rid of them..
|
Those are the Balls Assinippi :)
Did you make those lips or are they bought lips? I love the white with glitter:happy: |
1 plug tarriff for using the balls:D
|
I predict that by the end of the summer there will b so many plugs washed ashore that u'll never have to make another.
|
Buy a lip! That doesn't appeal to my scottish heritage. Making lips has proven to be pretty easy. I use a system of printing out the template for a lip, gluing it to the stainless stock, cutting the blank to shape 1/32" oversize with compound tin snips and grinding up to the edge of the printed template. Its amazing how accurate you can be. I have a sheet metal hand break similar to yours Bruce to make the Z.

Nice Danny's!
Those are beauties!!!
Do you know where I can find some like them?... If I manage to wrangle a couple of those somewhere, I'll pass one on to you Slip!... I've been searching for that very style! :D |
Assinippi,
If you're willing to put a couple of bodies through the template for me, I will pay for the wood & your efforts... One of those would be for Bruce! :D Are you going to the event on Saturday?... |

Very Nice! Well, I'm in the swap, so I guess I will be lucky enough to get one of Specialists swimmers as well. This swop is looking better all the time.
|
I just gotta be more patient with the finish. They weigh 2oz. Only a front treble, 3/0, and a nice 5/0 dressed siwash is needed.
|
:D :D :D shweet:D :D :D

Nice looking plugs. My compliments. I'm new to this message board. but I wanted to let you know I enjoy the conversations. You guys seem to do a good job on your lures. I make the Rhode Island Poppers if you ever saw them. I love wood lures. the only way to fish:)

Hi Don, thanks for the welcome. I just took this one. It is a sample of a few of the lures I make. I also make a very unique line of lures that has a through body SS wire leader that extends out the head for blue fishing. Please excuse the quality of the picture. I'm not good at the camera thing. :lasso:
|
Very nice!
How long have you been making them? |
Hi Don,
Well I have been making the poppers for myself for quite a few years, but the business has only been around for 3 years now. Started with a few for friends and relatives and then it grew to a business. Has been expanding like crazy and not sure how big we want it to get. Get tackle shops all over asking to carry them and I have resisted mostly. Carrying them in Benny's Chain store, they have a nice fishing dept. It's reeeel easy dealing with production for a bigger customer. I might be going to some more smaller tackle shops depending on how the deals work out. I'm taking them as they approach me. It's still a labor of love at this point. Also carrying/producing a line of Fluke Rigs and live bait rigs on wire for blues. |
