Let's get in the "spirit" of the season....

and recant some scary stories. (Real life is really too scary as it is.)
I need a fright-full fix for Halloween.

I might be able to top that.

Tonight, my mother in law comes to stay with us for 5 days in between moving from her old house to her new one.

A lot of married guy horror stories end with the line "...and then she turned into her mother!" and then they are never heard from again!:rotf2:

ok ........ here's one

we had a diving board built on the saltwater jetty where we lived.

I was challenged to do a back dive and being a competent diver and swimmer i thought i could manage it just fine.

The water wasn't nearly as high as i would have liked as the tide was already heading out.

I took the dive and hit my head on the bottom really hard....so hard, that i had a difficult time even making it to the surface and when i did i was unable to talk, yell for help ... or even swim because i was temporarily paralyzed by the impact.

I blubbered and dog paddled to the shore where i eventually was able to dig my fingers into the sand and slowly pull myself to higher ground being completely exhausted and passed out.

My two younger brother's sat there laughing hysterically thinking it was all a big act not realizing that they almost let their older brother drown.
