Accessories You Love?
Buying season is soon at hand.
What fishing accessory (lets limit it to items under $100) do you find makes your fishing better and you'd recommend to others? I'm going with Simms fingerless gloves. |

Camelback backpack. Makes long walks and packing light comfortable. Throw a little wake-me-up in the reservoir.

I'd say of the accessories that I use regularly, most things are pretty interchangeable, with the exception of my VS pliers. I feel sort of lost with out them.

$100.00 is kind of low?? So I will agree with Decksweeper.......the 1 item I would not go fishing without is definitely my VS pliers!! Many scoff at the price, I paid $250 for mine about.......5 years ago??? I have never changed the blades and I have cut a couple hooks out of people with them! However I recommend to anyone fishing do not be without a pair of cutters as one day you will have an emergency and they will be there for you!!:uhuh:

I must have a Z-Bass now that I have seen Taggers
|
Have you seen it with any fish on it??? Lately???

I've tried many different lights through the years for night fishing, everything from ones held between my teeth, to hung around my neck to clip on visor hight, even lights on my reading glasses.. the lattest and greatest IMHO ( and most comfortable) is one of those hats sold at Lowes with the light built into the visor, mine had three lights( most have 2, three is much better), one on top of the visor, two undernieth, powered by 4 hearing aid batteries in the brim of the hat and a 3 posistion switch which allow you to select which bulbs you want on), this thing is the cats meow... the lights are made by panther vision and are a purple/violet light.. they dont effect your night vision...or bother the fish. I paid about $20 for it...

Its definitely my funny hat purchased at LL Bean.
Although I rarely fish beyond mid october due to the long, windy, cold nights with nothing to show for it, I like the hat for those below average summer nights in August when there's a nip to the air. As for other stuff, I stopped buying Skoal a couple years ago as Redlite typically carries multiple tins on him and I simply sponge off his stash. People think I follow him around for the guide service, but its really the free Skoal. :uhuh: Also, I'm offering 99 bucks for the copyrights to the sea robin picture in my avatar. You could purchase a bunch of fingerless gloves for 99 bucks, your nose will thank you, and I'll brag to the uninformed masses about the bottom fish I took on a topwater plug...still never seen anyone do it before you....I'm jealous :laugha: |
my dive belt for all my bat gear

that depends if you sweated out the visor....even a little bit... had a yellow jacket blow into my car the other day smacks me in the forehead and stung me instantly because i had just finished splitting a bunch of wood. that wasn't the first time either... hornets (especially yellow jackets) hate the smell of human sweat !!!! mojo or not |
skinz back support

Having an extra foot in height over everybody else combined with tall sized waders.:uhuh:
|
Don't you have enough??? Or do you just want to be that much taller than me???!!:rotf2:

I'd love to have a boga grip but aren't they a lot of dough for a 60 lb one? I need to be more careful with trebles when wading.
Be a good Christmas present I guess. Other than that I can't afford anymore fishing stuff. |
Boga is on my want list! Need one for the yak!

plastic vise grips? |
perfect for grabbing blues and if needed on a bass minimal damage.
|
Plastic lip gripper. They weigh next to nothing and look like they would work well on bluefish and small bass......which are exactly the fish I want it for.
