The amount of knowledge that is shared on this site is already mind boggling. I can't help but think how my life/fishing has changed thanks to the amount of time I now spend cruising these and other fishing forums. My only regret is that I did not know about it sooner, which got me thinking. If only I had seen a sticker on a vehicle that would have caught my eye years earlier and brought me here sooner. I think a sticker that would have raised my curiousity and desire to improve my fishing. For instance:


I think an increase of members would help all of us by bringing new ideas and maybe even reduce the amount of googans that tend to disrupt fishing and give us fishermen a bad image in some peoples eyes. This site should be a tool in every fishermens tackle box, bucket or bag.

While I think that is an interesting concept, I would suggest that we go with Striped-Bass.com instead of strippedbass.com. Your link seems to suggest a rather riske, perhaps even promiscuous fish :love:

I think this should be revisited and would like to see some ideas that others have. I will even offer up a NIP Rm for the best slogan/sticker to get the ball rolling (I'll start another thread if someone will help workout the details, like how to pick the best slogan).

Ecduzitgood to go along with the original idea of yours you should finish that statement we use on the boats all the time... Fish Smarter.. Not Harder.... We say work smarter not harder all the time... There is another site that has obsession in its name... Addiction sounds like an AA/NA group:rotf2: Which some of us do need a round of intervention but still... I think the STICKER idea is great with just the S-B logo... What about the " fish hard/ live long" stickers you see with RI,BI,WH, CC..???? We could put in there the site logo S-B with the web address underneath???? I know the stickers on the back of my jeep grab attention... Between the Grundens "Eat..." and Super Strike and Gibbs... I notcie stickers all the time and actually use them to ID vehicles in passing of people I know/ Fish with...

I am thinking more along the line of people who fish but don't realize the site exist so 'S-B' by itself won't work. I don't know how this will work because I know someone will have to print the stickers and the cost involved would have to be covered and there are probably other issues I haven't thought of. I will start a new thread for ideas/slogans once you folks help work the details out.

Of course the ideas here will be considered and if it's one of mine then JohnR will get the RM to do with as he chooses

It would only work on a traditional rectangular bumber sticker, but how about "There's something fishy going on at Striped-bass.com"?

I asked John nice at MSBA and got the sticker, didn't know about hats/shirt.:)

I decided to throw in the Sebile as a choice for the guys that fish the lighter plugs 1-1/2oz.

To attract new members I like Fish Smarter or Fish Better or whatever along those lines. Things like Get Bent ring the bell for existing fishing addicts but for newer people it might not be instinctively understood.
