Dang is it cold out there!
Look at the sea surface temps for Southern New England. Even the herring will be freezing their scales off...

darn cold here too. Was outside a little while ago and the wind is biting cold. gonna be a cold one tonight!
Interesting how steep the temp gradient is off Hatteras. That 75 degree Gulf Stream water is right on top of the 45 degree water just north of the point. |
Mike I'll let you know when I get back. :D
|
Good luck Ben. Any cobia around there now or do you have to wait til May/June?
|
Supposed to get snow saturday. I maybe a little late on saturday night cause I have to work saturday.
WeeWee good luck down there. |
Starting about a month from now, checking the sea surface temps is one of my favorite passtimes.
Just seeing the chart makes me start thinking about going out and taking my first shot at the new season. |
I hope capesams is able to thaw out soon, it sure is cold out:smash:
I think my tires were frozen this morning. |
water temp is already on the rise. got down to 33 degrees around the last deep freeze a week or two ago. just looked it up and it's around 36 degrees now.. come on 50 degrees

|

Don't know 'bout the cobia being in close to shore (I think it's too cold). Kinda tough to catch them w/o eels from what I'm told. -WW |
