Papa John Creach
 

Listening to some Airplane/Starship the other day made me remember what was rare back then. A violin/fiddle player in a rock band.
I saw Papa several times w/Starship and Hot Tuna and he was pretty amazing on stage. Maybe not technically perfect but he could wail when he got going. Was still playing up till his death in 94.
