Fishing For Flaptail
 

A few of us headed out after the funeral service today to one of Steve's spots and wet a line in his memory. He would have liked that. So Slipknot, 2na and myself caught the drop until after dark......we talked, we fished, we talked, we laughed.....and we were occasionally quiet......I think we could all hear Steve's voice there as we had so many times before. The sunset was spectacular, the fishing was not but catching was not the point. It was the way we wanted to honor a friends memory.

Slipknot pulled it out for us however and beached this mammoth shad....prolly went about a pound Bruce?? More?? I thought I heard drag????:rotf2: Anyway......we got one for Steve.....he probably would have thought that was cool none the less! Nice going Bruce and thanks to you and Mike.....good afternoon.:uhuh:

the picture of bruce casting is great. tonights sunset was really nice. no dought steve was there in spirit. i will be thinking of him everytime i fish the spots we talked about.

First cast I made was a flaptail plug given to me made by Professor Moriarty, thanks Paul.
We flogged the water for a few hours until the second shift came by.

It won't be the same without Steve, like George said this leaves a big hole, a very big hole :(

They're a blast on light tackle--very good fight for their size.

Thanks for sharing this. You guys did a great thing. I didn't know Flap but from reading his posts and reading about all the things that he did with other S-B members it makes you feel like you really do know him. It's another reason why I like this site so much. You guys "Get It". Thanks again and I know Flap was with you guys that day......and he always will be.:fishin:

Hi everybody this is stiff tip jr . What i would like to do this winter is have a ice fishing derby on Weqacket in memory of Flap Tail . help raise some money 4 his family and to honor him . Thanks to every body my father is doing a lot better thank u Steve will b sincerly missed.
