korkers on rocks
Do you think fish can hear you walking on rocks with Korkers or studs? If so would the sound attract fish or drive them off?
I was just thinking about being on a breachway and how far away I could tell if a guy was walking out with Korkers. |
I think fish think the sound korkers make on a jetty sounds like crabs humping.:rotf2:

It's only December. |

I dont think the fish give a crap about the sound korkers make or a light or any other stuff you can think of,,, initially they may be spooked but it wont last,,,,,
If it did then the fish would never be behind you when you wetsuit out with your light on then claw your way up on the rock,,,, let alone chase a plug 3 feet from someone in the water while swimming,,,, fish are curious by nature.....:fishin: ok,, now let it fly,,, |
When I fart in my breathable waders the sound is not muffled at all ... I often wonder if I'm scaring the fish ..

That's chumming the waters and may attract more fish? Heard it works from a buddy who chummed the waters while snorkling: the fish were everywhere around him. |
Fish in the proximity, yes...I believe they can hear you.
NO, I don't believe that sound would bother them at all. If anything, it may resemble other sounds from the ocean that may even strike some curiosity. What do you think gravel beds sound like under water as the surf rolls them around? Some fish spook more than others, Fisheye can attest to that I'm sure. I've heard that a Tautog will swim right up to you while you have the spear gun pointed right at em...NO FEAR, CURIOSITY, OR STUPIDITY?? I've spooked fish while just approaching the surf, fish that were sitting in very low water could be seen darting away from shore (and I wasn't even in the water yet). I've also been fishing in waist high water when there's a lot of fire in the water...and noticed fish zooming away as I slowly made my way across a bar. I did not have the head-lamp on, ...was it sound or my slow movements sending signals their way, that spooked them? Unless you continue making a racket, they come back. I wouldn't worry about korker sounds at all though. |
All I know is that I would rather walk on the breachway with korkers on then without.

I have that farting problem!so I put a piece of PVC down the back of the waders, now it sounds like an Aborigany Digery Do! Tie me striper down sport, Tie me striper down.---LOUIE

I only wear felt soles, never korkers, in all my surf endeavors...this should tell you something.

It screams 'Sand Sissy'.......... ...:rotflmao:...:rotflmao:...:rotflmao: As far as the korkers question goes, I doubt it Wading, however, may be a different story if bass are in a neutral to negative mode - I always subscribed to the theory that they are sensitive to the pressure and presence of a wader even if motionless Like trout, I always felt the best way to wade for them is don't |
