If you want to know what the weather will be today, check with the weather guru's tomorrow.......................................... ...seventy-five percent of them will be right.

Enjoy.

fishweewee 02-17-2003 09:13 AM

Glad I didn't go tuna fishing this weekend. :laughs:

Took one look outside...a foot or so on the ground, and went back to bed. :smash:

I heard parts of NJ got socked with 20 INCHES so far!

JohnR 02-17-2003 09:14 AM

Foot plus here - still looks like we won't have a big snow since that April Foools day snow a few years ago.

And the guys in Baltimore are getting burried. I lived down there, they CAN'T handle it - don't know what to do :D

Bliz 02-17-2003 09:20 AM

OOOOOO workin at home has MANY benefits, wicked looooong commute :D

And if I get tired of fixin radios I just go turn some plugs for a while :D

Fishpart 02-17-2003 09:27 AM

We're here peering out the windows wondering what the weather will bring. Probably end up canceling second and swing shifts.........

Hopefully by the time I leave all the :smash: will be home already.

mikecc 02-17-2003 09:40 AM

Was going to dry rods today but think I'll wait till it’s over. Kind of lousy when power goes out and you have to spin them by hand.

chris L 02-17-2003 09:56 AM

Ill be in work all day , this place never shuts down .

Carl 02-17-2003 10:10 AM

I'm here at work too. This place will never close. Oh well, not a lot to do, I guess I'll have to leave SB.com up all day!

179 02-17-2003 10:36 AM

chris L,
Same thing here, I don't think we would shutdown if it were 3' of snow never mind 1'. It's that corporate greed.....

Mike P 02-17-2003 10:41 AM

Don't underestimate this storm guys---here on eastern LI we've already got about 14" on the ground and it's still snowing like a mother.

I remember a weather forecast in February 1978 that called for 8-12 inches ;)

alr 02-17-2003 11:04 AM

Vacation week for me, that is until I'm ordered in which I'm sure will happen shorlty.
What a difference a year makes. Remember last year, global warming and wondering how the herring were going to make it upstream w/out water?

Van 02-17-2003 11:07 AM

I just check weather.com for Boston, and unless I'm crazy it looks like its gonna snow till tomorrow night.

36 hours of blizzard conditions....:smash:

you are right on both counts...

RickBomba 02-17-2003 12:51 PM

Just went to Stop&Shop, oh my god...
There were like 800 people fighting over two pieces of chicken. No steaks, no butter, almost out of eggs...
I went to finish the "Honey Do" list, all I had to get was two things from the deli.
I waited an hour...
I got the cold cuts though, not for me I might add...
We're closing both restaurants at 3 pm.
Good luck guys, I don't think the driving's that bad, though.
Later,
Rick:laughs:
