Winter scouting missions

Are you or will you scout out any new fishing turf this winter? If so, what types of attributes will you be looking for? How has scouting affected your results in the past?

I will be scouting some kayak spots! New to kayaking I need to check out some launch areas and also see how the spots look for kayak use!! Looking forward to using it more next season!!:uhuh:
