Merry Xmas to me
1 Attachment(s)
My Xmas present to myself, now all I need is some dry road to get the boat from Hull back to Plymouth, without covering it with road salt.

Very Nice. I did a canvas enclosure this year. It was the best money ever spent. It made fall boating in to November so enjoyable. I can't wait until early April to be on the water. You will notice a big difference.

Can't live without a vinyl surround in the area, especially April/May and Oct-Dec. Nice other months, too, especially in fog/rain but that early morning dew makes forward visibility a little difficult.
Nice work, looks custom. |
all you sallies w/ your canvas, your pilot houses, your hardtops. don't you remember the joy of taking a spray shower at six in the morning at 30 mph on a crisp november morning.;). looks great. who did it in hull?

PRBuzz "Can't live without a vinyl surround in the area, especially April/May and Oct-Dec. I find I have to open a section to see in light rain. |
The craftsman that made my enclosure said not to put RainX on the Strata-glass. He recommended a Silicon Squeegee to clear it of fog and dew.

Nice.... I like the buy your own gift method also...

Nice, that was done at the place in Hull? That's exactly what I want to get for my rig. Mind PMing me what something like that costs? Ballpark is ok. Thanks!

Allerton Harbor Canvass did the job and it run $3K with the wings. I'm curious about how these stand up to trailering, that's the only fly in my ointment, because one ground up section of RT195 like last year could make a big fat mess of that. I don't want to have to remove it when I trailer, but if I ran into that mess again, I'd have to pull over to do just that. Pulled the boat home yesterday and the only negative is that I noticed two toggle on and the battery deader than dead, hope it's not ruined or a pump gone; that would up the cost by another hundred.

I drove out to Hudson, MA and back last Saturday, before the snowstorm, and I actually saw 3 boats getting towed on 128: 1 southbound and 2 northbound. I figured these guys were just procrastinating on their winterization until the last minute. Kind of like my Christmas shopping!

Allerton Canvas did a console cover for a customer of mine this fall. They do top notch work and stand behind it from what I have heard.
