the office

people at work twice in the last two days (and sporadically in the past) comment about me "walking in a and interupting them". We all have to walk into each others offices several times throughout the day so WTF???! If what you were talking about was so personal or private that my ears shouldnt hear it then close your &$#^%$ door! Its not my fault that I didnt know you were talking about something I shouldnt have overheard!

That is all thank you.

That ranks up there with listening to cell phone conversations when the person is talking with no regard for whomever is within earshot.

I get a few of those looks, but they're from new people that just haven't gotten the clue.

If the conversation is that important, keep it private and close the damn door!

I can't stand the rudeness of cell phone users in public.

Several years ago I took my wife out to an upscale restaurant to celebrate
our anniversary. A women with a party of 6 was taking cell calls while we were
eating and disturbing everyone around her.
When she hung up after the second call I got up and asked her politely if she
would take her calls outside as it was annoying. At least she was willing to comply.

If it were Burger King it would have been different.

Behind a woman at...you guessed it....Dunkie's this am and she decides to MAKE a phone call in mid-order!!! So the person waiting on her did not know if she was talking to her or to the person on the phone!! I wanted to beat her with a stale cruller!!!:smash::smash::smash:

You should have moved around and in front of her and made your order. Her problem is no one has given her a STALE CRAWLER/CRULLER lately......:rotf2:

if you are a boss or supervisor it's fine. If you are among the rank and file and need to get something done I still think it's fine. If you are interrupting a BS session, that is still not your problem.

Office politics can be brutal, especially with a lot of women like my office. Don't take that personally.

Funny, even if I'm on a work conference call while paying for groceries I'll take the bud from my ear and give the cashier my full attention for the few moments...it's just rude.

If you are interupting folks with questions and earning a bad rap. I would suggest you use email first, then follow up with a visit only as a last resort. It will save time and help you get stuff done.
