Lead Smelter

Can anyone recommend a smelter. I'd be using this for plugs and Do-It molds.

I'm wondering if anyone got one, but then wished they had got another type.

I have a Lee and have been very happy with it. This one, look around for best price

Here
Lee Production Pot, bottom pour lead melter, lead melting pot

If you lived closer I would let you use it as it sit's idle most of the year.

i borrow my buddies, the same one mentioned above. it works fine, no problems. cabellas had that same pot for 49.95 before x'mas. ......i made weights for 3 days, enough for winter production plus, so i held off buying one....

I have the same one as the guys above. I got it at Kittery Trading post for $52-shipped. Works well.

I have the same one ans also an 20llbs capacity iron pot and ladle so i can melt the lead down to ingots first also to clean the lead and get rid of the slag so nothing but clean lead goes in the Lee and that keeps the pouring hole from getting clogged.
