Mini Canal Specials
2 Attachment(s)
I've been in desperate need of a pencil that has a small profile and I can get some distance with, for those times when the fish are locked on small bait in the canal. Hopefully, these will fit the bill. They come in at 6" and a hair over 2 ounces. Also, a picture to show the size compared to my normal canal specials.

very nice.
made some my self this past season. i found that parrot was the best color for me when there was a lot of small bait around (scup, butter fish, sea herring) |
very nice, thats on my list of things to do, had some frustrating small bait mornings last year

Nice. Small pencils cast great as well, often better than the large ones.

Nice stuff. Should work really well at the ditch.

Nice job Dan. You will do good with those. my go to plug last year, but mine are in the 2.7 range. I got some even smaller than that this year, over weighted of course, and I use the hawg style more than the gibbs, but pretty much the same. look great. I'll be looking for a yellow or white trade:uhuh:

this was exactly the sort of plug I was testing this whole past season. I believe mine was around 2.8oz or so, and slow-sink. On a retrieve, they would stay right on top, although the jerk and pause retrieve gave it the most action. I'll definitely be making more this year, thats for sure.

The ones I used last year were about 7" and 2.5oz They outcast/outcatch everything else in my bag. Trick to them is the low profile. ProfessorM has the prototype, maybe have him pass it on to you once he's done copying it. Pretty sure its a George Carlezon copy. Nice work as always Dan:btu: |
i'm never giving it to him he hates the canal
|
Those look great Dan :uhuh:
