Surfcasting Manners

I guess it matters how hot the spot is

JohnR 02-21-2003 02:34 PM

Same thing when its from a boat :D - throw on a 3oz Hopkins with a big dull trebble and go trolling for lines :D :D :D

Funny polls even though I see an anti-surfcasting tendancy :laughs:

STEVE IN MASS 02-21-2003 02:43 PM

I got another answer but it involves some things that I can't post here....but #3 is pretty good....;)

BasicPatrick 02-21-2003 02:46 PM

Go to the Beach Buggy, Take out the banjo, and tell the offending Party how good he looks in "dem dare wadas"

fishweewee 02-21-2003 02:50 PM

No one comes near me when I'm swinging 5 oz jigs in a full pendulum cast. :smash:

Jimbo 02-21-2003 02:59 PM

I admire you guys. I'm a big guy who it took a while to realize no matter what side of a fight I'm on I probably wasn't going to win. I guess I'd have to take the stance of being the "bigger man" of expressing my opinion and just letting it go and moving somewhere else. Takes a real DB to do something like that anyway so I guess it would be obvious to the other shoremen what kind of person he was. But just cause someone like that can live with themselves and their actions doesn't mean in my mind they'll ever be more than the sleaze bag they are.

You must fish the west wall in may?? Don"t know why but when I get crowed like that I just forget how to cast and we get tangled and tangled and tangled they sometimes get the hint but you know most don"t even know they are doing wrong. So my vote goes to number1

JHABS 02-21-2003 03:01 PM

You could :smash: him , or you could :fishslap: him, or you could tell him to kiss your :bshake: use these only after you ask him nicely or you could go where there are no :bgi: . But maybe sometime its best to hop in your :sled: and go for a:cheers:

JohnR 02-21-2003 03:13 PM

Johnny - that's the most coherent thing you've ever said before :hihi:

Krispy 02-21-2003 03:14 PM

chris L 02-21-2003 03:14 PM

I just leave its not worth the hassle . When some one asks me how the fishing is my usual answer is no fish here .

chris L 02-21-2003 03:16 PM

Krispy 02-21-2003 03:17 PM

But maybe sometime its best to hop in your truck and go for a beer

DaveS 02-21-2003 03:32 PM

I tell him to move along on his own accord or else I'm gonna throw him in the drink.:lossinit: Takes alotta stones to steal a guys spot while he's tending to a fish or re-rigging.

JHABS 02-21-2003 03:35 PM

JohnR 02-21-2003 03:39 PM

Is "VICODEN" a mind enhancing drug? There is hope!

Actually - when I see something of intelligence on a "Habs" post or e-mail, I usually assume it's Tattoo logged in under his name :laughs:

JHABS 02-21-2003 03:43 PM

DaveS 02-21-2003 03:59 PM

LMAO:laughs:

Slipknot 02-21-2003 04:10 PM

First I'd proceed to edumacate the offender, then if it's painfully obvious the he/she is experienced enough to know better then I take out the knife and start cutting lines. After losing a few plugs, they won't be sticking around much longer.
If they pull out a gun or something, I duck and run for cover:)

Sometimes you can just keep on catching while they don't hook up at all, now that is funny.

J Habs, I hope your back is ok:(

Got Stripers 02-21-2003 04:19 PM

Happens in my boat all too frequently, theres a guy with a red Sea Craft that has dropped anchor on a spot I'm working too many times to count. I guess if your a guide that gives you a license to be rude and drop your hook where you feel like it. If the spots hot and I know I'm not going to be able to work it the same after someone sets up camp, you bet your *ss I'll have a few choice words for "Captain" before I move on. Lifes to short to start swinging over a fish or two, but I will let a guy know I think he's a a-hole.

CLEAR COATING today

Clear Coat / Vodka - Whats the difference??

Know your computer skills, I must say you post with the animated smile's was quite impressive.

JohnR,
I am usually sitting at his computer at his house typing for him, it's a heck of a lot faster than him using one finger.:laughs:

JPowers 02-21-2003 04:33 PM

Pull down your pants. Squat down. Muster a crazy look on yer face and ask the guy if he's got any toilet paper.
