Could I get some feed back on these rods please? I'm talking the two 10'6" models....3/4-4 oz plugging and the 2-6 oz jigging rod. Are they worth the money? Is the plugging rod a 100 yard rod with 30 braid and the right plug? Because they have low rider guides do I have to use a smaller reel with a smaller diameter spool? and if so, wouldn't that cut down my distance? so are these rods a catch 22 when it comes to reaching 100 yards with a plug? All casting is snap(thump) casting.......thanks in advance for any help :)

Pretty sure Red Top would let you go cast several.

You might want to look around for a zziplex if you're thinking of spending the $$ on a legend. Can probably get the zziplex for the same or less and you have a much better blank, IMO. I've been fishing with the 10' sea raider and its the best all around rod I've ever fished.

I don't know anything about the blank/rod, but there is a great article in OTW about those smaller guides and their spacing. In any event, try to use that rod before spending the $$$.

It is an awesome rod. I used one for the entire season last year, really put it to the test and it performed great. I used the one rated 3/4-4 oz. (LLS106MM2) I favor lighter rods as a rule.

I was able to throw poppers up to 4.5 oz., with no problem as well as fish red fins with it and still feel every pulse on the kick. It is a super light rod too. I fished it with the Zee 25 w/ 50# Sufix and it did everything I wanted to in terms of casting or muscling pigs. The new concept guide system is awesome! It really does make a difference.

The only small draw-back was it is not a great bucktailing rod, just a little too stiff, not nearly as stiff as let's say the Super Surf. If I hit Montauk (or equal) I would change it up.

One of the main attractions is the warranty. If you break it, you pay$60 no questions asked...and that is only if it is your fault.
I really need that warranty to! :jump1:
