Epoxy spinner
 

Hi all... I need an epoxy spinner and am having a hard time finding one. I've surfed the web and have come up with very little other than a few high en spinners in the 125.00 area. Any suggestions? Thanks all.

make your own, it isn't that hard

use an old rotissery motor or a rod turning/drying motor

A buddy made on for me out of an old microwave platter motor, and and a discarded cable "holder". I figured I'd never use it but I took it to be nice. Well I tried it for goofs.

still working 2 years later. I think it cost $5.

A rotissery motor runs like $30ish new at Lowes. Mount it to a big plastic bin add two wood plates to the big skew then some hook hangers. Bam there it is.

You can buy motors cheap on www.surpluscenter.com that will work just fine. Make a drum out of a dowel and two circles of 3/8 plywood and mount the plugs with small threaded rod. Mine drys six at a time.

Mine is a little elaborate, it is actualy two units... rotissery motor drives one, the other is driven by an old oil skimmer motor, the bottom one was made from the skimmer motor and parts( belts and pulleys" from an old copy machine... I had enough stuff hanging around to make it for a few bucks... I spent about $50 on the top one, complete with timer...

I can bring it to pluug fest ( I think I can get it into my truck, it is on wheels) if there is enough interest..

Damn, Rock, that is the mother of all spinners if there ever was one. I could use that to dry my dog.

Here's mine. Just a old cabinet that was being thrown out. Much cheaper then building it out of wood.

The garage is a damp dungeon so I hang my sealed plugs along with primed/painted plugs below and spin up top.

Keep it simple. Motor off Ebay and a little plywood. It's more a flipper than a spinner :) . I think it's easier to attach the plugs. Light bulb for heat.

Big buddy, I spun for years but be honest get a portable clothes rack and hang the plugs and flip. 4 flips in an 1/2 hour and it all good.
