$100,000,000 Toll Change?????!!!!

One Hundred Million Dollars to switch the toll system in Mass. to an all automated system.......................WTF are these politicians thinking??!!!!:smash:

JohnnyD 02-08-2010 12:38 PM

Isn't this the same system they were talking about trying to put into place on the Canal bridges? If this system gets incorporated, it's only a matter of time before they try to put a similar one in place for getting into and out of Boston.

I can't believe Cadillac is supporting this considering the number of his friends that were given jobs at collectors.

I hope there are a lot of McDonalds and Burger King opening is this goes through.

suck it up - you have an opportunity to vote and choose not to!

So I guess I have no one to blame but you?:rotf2:

Screwed either way....I save the gas money!:)

Remember: "Together we can".....as long as the "we" are NOT the politicians that are pushing for this latest fiscal embatrassment to the state.
Remember how efficient and accurate the "speed pass" system was/is? Surely they won't allow that crap to happen to us again, will they?

To coin a paraphrase a quip from Sarah Palin: "So how's that "hope and change" agenda doing?"

Let's HOPE that our idiot governor doesn't decide to CHANGE anything else before he is ridden out of town on a rail!

he should be impeached for that huge a con job..........

the pike was paid for 30 years ago

I would rather see tolls eliminated and the gas tax go up. Then you don't need to spend any money collecting tolls, we all pay for the roads and taxes are paid based on fuel burned (help cure"global warming"). Huge savings and the station owner does all the work. Ma. just cashes the check.

BigFish 02-08-2010 06:49 PM

There will always be tolls...and there will always be a gas tax...and its gonna go up! Also if they spend $100,000,000 dollars automating the tolls......the toll fee is going to go up without a doubt!!

Increase taxes? You're philosophy is so much of a "I don't want to pay for that." I rarely use the Mass Pike so I don't want to pay for it.

I'd rather them put tolls on US93 than the gas tax to go up. The people that use the roads should pay for their maintenance.

Why should people that live on the Cape or out in Western Mass have to pay increased taxes so that the people that commute into Boston everyday don't have to pay a toll or wait in lines?

Distributing the costs to everyone sounds very Socialist of you.

"They" was one crazy Barnstable County commissioner. That Canal toll idea never had a snowball's chance in hell of ever getting put into place.
