Stripers Forever E-Mail- How did I get it?
 

I had been receiving Stripers Forever e-mails to one e-mail address and unsubscribed. Today I find another e-mail to a seperate address that I had never shared with the group.

Do any of the sponsors on this site share e-mail information with groups like this? I'm curious to know how they got my info. Not pleased to say the least.

I'm in favor of decreasing or possibly eliminating both commercial and recreational harvesting of striped bass but I'm beyond sick of this group and their methods.

A lot of those "sweepstakes" (like they hit you with when you first walk into any fishing show) are there just to acquire a list and then they sell the list.

dont forget the BOTS

they scour the internet 24/7 365 days a year searching for email addy's

then the other thing is some sites get hacked
and every email addy gets robbed

it's not always people revealing it to others.

We do not share any info with anybody.

You might have been signed on your other e-mail addy when you were looking at a fishing site, or you gave that address to a site that sold it to SF.

Alright. All my disposable income goes to the Afterhours, Saltwater Edge, and M&D's so if it was not one of you guys this site is in the clear. Must be someone from the other site that I've dealt with in the classifieds section there. :smash:

Keep in mind that some people dredge emails from chain letters, topic related stuff as well. Someone receiving email from SF (or any organization) that adds that email to a distribution list and then forwards emails to everyone in their distribution list could send your email to SF.

Contrary to popular email lure, if you DON'T send that chain email to 10 people in the next 5 minutes, you dog is NOT going to die, you house will not be taken away, and Long Island will not get 7 years of bad luck.
