Hey guys picked this up this afternoon for a whopping 8 bucks...
I think it's an atom but ?, it appears the lip is snapped off, any idea of age? it's an interesting paint scheme thats for sure. |
got a shot of the belly grommets...?
|
yeah I will post another pic of it, it's pretty beat up, but it would make a sweet restoration.
|
If you need a lip for it I have some of those, you'll have to bend it though.
looks like a beater |
A lip for that would be awesome, thanks. I would like to restore it to it's former glory.

LOL .It's not a Capt Bills. It's one of the oldest Atoms made. The lip wasn't very good metal and many you will find that old will be rusted or rotted off.I have several of them a couple from Bob that are even marked Pond pending on the belly before he called them Atom.Nice one to put on a shelf. You'll notice the hooks are thin compared to later models. Sometimes they would come apart and it would become a double hook instead of a treble. The ones made the next yr were listed as Atom pending on the belly. Plus colors changed a bit. Hope this helps. I never opened the pic up, when I did you can see the grey paint clear as day :smash: Atom plug also would be my guess. VB |
