Speed skater loses gold do to coaching error!
 

Got to feel for the guy who had the gold won until his coach told him to change lanes. Got to be the biggest coaching F/U in modern times. The success of whole carreers can hinge on a gold medal at the Olympics. What a shame!

I saw it last night. It looked like the coach was telling him to switch lanes, the skater just did it too late.

He trains for 4 years and is winning the Gold in the 10,000 and loses like this. That will haunt him th erest of his life. Skating is huge in the Netherlands.

He was in the correct lane. The coach told him to change and he didi. he cahnged into the wrong lane based on the coach telling him to change. Up to that point he was fine and way ahead to win the gold.

Anyway , I see that he and the coach have kissed and made up so I guess he's accepted it well. Still a shame he didn't get the gold!

How many 3 base coaches can we say the same thing about
