coaming pads
Due to wear and tare I need to get my pads reupholstered, does anyone know of a reputable canvas/upholstery shop in southern mass.? Looked into buying from the manufacture first, they want an arm and 2 legs to replace those.
What gets me is they hang expensive pads(which are pissa to have) with .02 cent metal hardware that break down soon afterwards and leave heavy rust stains to boot. Especially when it comes to Marine environment you get what you pay for. |
I use a one-man(woman) shop up here in Quincy.
Is that too far? Super work and very reasonable. |
Try:
Art's Auto & Marine Inc (508) 586-2137 736 Warren Ave Brockton, MA 02301 I saw their work on a friend's boat and looked high quality. |
Allerton Harbor Canvas in Hull. Those guys do some incredible work. They did a console cover for one of my customers boats and it came out unbelievable.

Where in Southern Ma are you ?

Used to be a place called T & R in Fall River too.

Goose,
My boat is in Niemiec and I see trucks in there all the time with upholstering, canvas, railing signs from NB. (Can't recall the specific names) There are several guys in town that do this. I would ask at the boatyard or west marine on popes I who does this and get some quotes. |
I just dropped off the leaning post pad, cooler seat pad and back rest. I basically need 3 new cushions soup to nuts. I thought I was gonna need a defibrillator when I heard the cost...
