OK afte further reviews it looks like the boat that is doing the video is stationary. What do you guys think about that theory?

Not with how hard that boat (doing the video) hit the side off the bow. If it were stationary, the bow of the other boat would have hit first... I'd think.

Wonder if this is a case of two idiots with auto-pilot-itis.

No, I don't believe either was stationary. If you look at the bottom structure under that water surface, they were underway.
