Gold Rush
3 Attachment(s)
So wanted to do something different on my plugs. I decided to use red variegated gold leaf as the finish. The stuff is extremely tough to work with but the results are great. The gold leaf has a sunburst pattern in the middle with shades of green, gold, and red swirled in. Very cool looking stuff. You have to use the special adhesive and special sealer. Its very delicate and tears so easy, it’s a slow process to say the least.
Two coats of epoxy to protect the finish. The pics do not do the plugs justice and when they are in the water they look like a pogy or baitfish because of the iridescent reflection it puts out. I’m doing a danny and spin jr. next. I can do a tutorial on how I did it if there is any interest. |
