My Other Fix
Before i became addicted to fishing and the thrill of the catch I ski'd all over North America and would easily get 30 days in a season on the slopes. All this was pre kids and wife. I got up for the day to Cannon this past Sunday and had a day of the ages. It brought back some great feelings about why I love that sport so much. Blue bird skies, perfect snow, and great friends. My friend took a few pics and a video. In the link to the video I go by him wearing an orange jacket. Next season i will get certified for teaching at Blue Hills and get my son enrolled in the winter program. I wish I had more time and money to get out there more. Oh well, that day will be in the memory banks for a long time. Anybody else get out on that glorious weekend? It doesn't have to be skiing. I'd just like to see what others did in the nice weather.

Great day at Gunstock on Saturday!

I skied Cannon Mt. a week ago Friday under ideal conditions - great snow; clear, blue sky; gentle, warm breeze; no lift lines - gotta love mid-week on the mountain. Took a short hike to access one of the old trails at Mittersill. There was plenty of natural snow, which wasn't the case when I made the mistake of skiing Tram Line a couple of years ago. Skiing under the tram was probably the most challenging run I've made on a New England mountain.

sounds like the back side of Sugarloaf, even with all that snow, it was still really nasty! not for the faint of heart!
