The "2010 fish on custom wood" picture thread
Well, might as well get this teed up seeing some folks are already taking fish in the estuaries south of here...post em if ya got em and have a great 2010...
|
Nothing with stripes yet but got something to eat some wood. Actually the plug is made from sign board. Very light weight and makes a very lively plug. I contacted an online sign board company and they were offering the board in three different densities. I got a free trial pack of three boards, one in each density. This one was made from the highest density board they offered.

Wow! Looks like sign board works really well! Darn nice catch.:claps:

Thanks Greek, nice start.

Here's a few more from last weekend. I got the little flatsided crankbait from another builder Big M, he builds custom freshwater stuff and his crankbaits are fantastic. The bass are really starting to wake up here and should get nothing but better from here on out.

A "little something" to get things going, actually a very little something. But its only April 25th and I'm liking this GooGooMan baby donny already. Cool subsurface action, almost a cross between a darter and a swimmer. Works well really slow. Neat plug with ton's of potential.

the fish dog got her paws on that one

Hey George,
Good to see the plug is working, I also have been working on some medium donny's, I will send you one when I have them done! |

Time to get this thread cranking. Here is a 14 lb bass and I practicing our Linda Lovelace imitations. That is a 8" Musso surface swimmer she inhaled (and illustrates the bit about tail hooks being non-critical).

Nice pic George! In all the pics I have of fish on plugs 99.9% of them have the fish on the belly hook! (That being bass of course).

A good friend asked me last week if I still get excited over fishing even after doing it for most of my life... |
