Can someone come up with a list and post it of how each congressmen voted ?

not to worry. Every republican opponent will have their say. This November will be a bloodbath for the Dem's.

Doubtful. The Party of No vs. the Party of Distribution. As usual, it will all come down to who pissed of the Independents most in the 3-6 months prior to the election... well, that and who has the most successful smear campaign in each race.

Will the Dems lose a bunch of seats? Certainly, possibly to the point of the GOP gaining control of the House, but I don't think it will be the bloodbath that Conservatives are hoping for.

It will be an incumbant beat down.

All the repubs need to do is share the letter WRITTEN BY OBAMA that suggested including the Republican measure into the Bill. Since only 1 of 4 was included, it is a clear example of one party rule, which people are generally against.

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, etc.

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce..... I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.

We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood



You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us... You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values... You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain.

You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

You assume that all voters are intelligent and pay a fair amount of attention to what's actually going on in politics. Pointing at a statement leading up to a HC vote and saying "See, we told you" isn't going to sway a large number of people. Also, anyone who didn't think the HC Summit was a smoke-and-mirrors show for both parties is out of their mind.

The largest benefit to campaigning Republicans right now is that they have 6 full months to sift through the encyclopedia sized bill and develop talking points (and a smear campaign) to try and sway Independents. Most Republican and Democrat voters will drink the koolaid of their respective parties.

Just like the Massachusetts election, Independents will dictate this next election. The Dems will lose a fair number of seats (and probably the House), but I don't think it will be as drastic as some think.

I'd happily pay for his ticket if John Wall wants to move to Somalia. It must suck to have so much hate for your country that you want to split it in two. I bet he lives in one of those crappy red leaning mid-western or southern fly over states that have been dependant on the the blue states to keep them running. He's prob. goes to a public law school also that depends on gov't aide to keep it going. :)

yes, I'm more offended by the sentiment. If they feel bad for all the blue states, let them turn back all the money we've sent them. If they want modern roads, either pay for them or stop crying like babies about the blue states and accepting our $ (I view it the same as welfare). A thank you every once and a while would be appropriate.

I think the only creeps in the federal govern have been out of office for a little over 1 year. Why do you switch from Creep O Craps to democrats?

His point is that no states should depend on the Federal Government to be financially viable. And it would be easier for states to "survive" on their own if they were allowed to tax their citizens at the rate the Federal government does, and that might be possible if the the Federal only taxed for purposes for which the Constitution provides to it. Actually, blue states receive, overall, more Federal return than red states, it's just that the reds get more back per capita. And there are many factors involved in that redistribution, including which party is in power. Most of the stats available now are from the Bush years. Over the next four to eight or more years, those stats and redistribution patterns may change. Factors like age of population (medicare/social security) account for much of the money. Certainly, type of wealth generated (manufacturing vs. agriculture) is a factor, and changing patterns in those sectors may change the redistribution of Federal money--the eroding manufacturing base in blue states like Michigan and Ohio will create a greater poverty redistribution. Several of the blue states that used to be economic powerhouses are now in greater financial distress. Of the 8 states that had unemployment over 11%, seven voted blue. Of the 14 astates that had budgets that exceeded 20% of their G.D.P., 12 voted blue.

If blue-staters don't like this Federal redistribution scheme, it would seem to their benefit to get the Federal Government less involved in takeover of what should be State and private business.

Isnt MA one of the most democratic states in the country?? It wasnt all independents and right wingers that put Scott Brown in. Can you say buyers remorse??

Like I said, Independents will be the deciding factor.

This is how they voted the first time, we will have to wait and see how they do the second time around after the Senate force the bill back to the House for a second vote.
