A Paint question
I have a gallon of West Marine CPP Ablative paint that is 3 years old. I used some of it and then sealed the can. I have about 3/4 of a gallon and it has not been opened since April 2007.
Can I use it? |
sure. stir it up and use it. the copper isn't going to evaporate.

Take it to West and have it shaken.
Good as new. |
Thanks Bryan, I will do that. It's actually the paint you got for me.
|
Definitely suggest try to have it put on a shaker.
Maybe home depot or lowe's . Can be done by hand but it won't be fun ! |
Thanks guys. Will do. i have a good relationship with the Sherwin-Williams dealer in No. Smithfield. I am sure he will "shake it" for me.

paint for what ???????????
|
OH GOD!!! Why even bother:wall::wall:
|
future refference for some reading this... I know they used to make a drill attachment, That was a mixer for paints... Ptu it in the drill and spin away till mixed lol....
|
Thanks Josiah

I have one of the drill bits to mix paint. Better and easier to have it shaken in a paint store or at worst marine.
|
Paul welcome and Makomike.. Yes it is easier but unless you get lucky or know the place well most look at you like your asking for their firstborn... That drill mixer isnt the greatest but it works better than a stick and a hand.. bottom/ non fouling sucks to stir by hand.. as we all know:rotf2:

X2, that is what I do. Got to go slow though. Just look at my garage floor !!!!:smash: The metal will be at the bottom, so the stirrer works well to get it moving. When I have leftover, I store the paint can upside down for that reason. |
